With an influx of interest in cottage cheese, there are many cottage cheese recipes on the internet to choose from.

Some of the most popular recipes are ones that feature cottage cheese dips. Dip chips in cottage cheese queso. Soak noodles in cottage cheese alfredo. Enjoy carrot sticks with an easy ranch cottage cheese dip.

While there are many delicious savory options, I found that there weren’t as many sweet cottage cheese dip recipes to choose from! What if you’re looking for a higher protein snack but you also want to satisfy a sweet tooth?

Enter, this easy peanut butter cottage cheese. Whipped cottage cheese mixed with creamy peanut butter and a hint of honey, this slightly sweet high protein dip is the perfect addition to fruit platters, breakfast toasts, or can be enjoyed as a high protein sweet tooth snack on its own!

Why you’ll love this recipe:

I know, I know, it’s ANOTHER cottage cheese recipe. Trust me, you’ll want to make this one because it’s:

  • Loaded with protein: One reason why cottage cheese is so popular right now is because of its mild flavor and high protein content. While it may vary by brands you use, this peanut butter cottage cheese has over 20 grams of satiating protein.

  • Easy to make: Simply blend, serve, and enjoy.

  • Minimal clean up: You’ll just need one blender or food processor!

  • Meal prep friendly: This dip can be prepped ahead of time, stored in a container in the refrigerator, and be enjoyed throughout the week.

  • Less tangy than peanut butter greek yogurt: Many peanut butter fruit dips are made by mixing peanut butter with greek yogurt, which is delicious but much more tangy than peanut butter cottage cheese! If you are looking for a substitute for greek yogurt, you’ll love this recipe.

If you are simply not a cottage cheese fan, don’t worry! I have a very similar peanut butter yogurt dip that you’ll love! Made with greek yogurt, it’s a tasty high protein dip to balance out the carbohydrates in the fruit and keep you full for hours.

Swaps & Substitutions:

Make this recipe your own by:

  • Add extra mix-ins: sprinkle in cinnamon, add a splash of vanilla, or stir in chopped nuts or chunks of chocolate.

  • Change what you pair it with: I like to pair this dip with sliced apples or Simple Mills sweet thin crackers but this would also pair well with strawberries, pretzels, pancakes, waffles, and more!

  • Swap your sweetener: You can skip the honey all together or you can swap the honey out for maple syrup or liquid stevia.

  • Add some crunch: Top this peanut butter cottage cheese with melted chocolate, granola, or some mixed nuts for an extra crunch.
